Policies, processes, roles and organisational redesign, using self-assessment and improvement tools (SAIT) and methodologies, ensuring services, process and roles are sustainable, scalable, safe, compassionate and exceptional.

Working with members of the Imaging and Cardiorespiratory Teams you will:

Take a lead role in creating new governance processes in relation to the Imaging and Cardiorespiratory teams and the designated areas in which they operate.

Provide operational leadership and guidance to ensure a strategic focus and governance to development, implementation and delivery of the programme.

Lead the development of policies and procedures for activity; contributing to and ensuring compliance with QSI and IQIPS across Patient Experience, Facilities, Resources & Workforce, Safety and Clinical domains.

Be responsible for allocation of resources and the effective management of budgets as appropriate.

Act as subject matter expert; ensure that all processes in the programme are developed in accordance with the accreditation governance requirements including: measuring impact and performance targets, management of interdependencies, coordinating stakeholder engagement, proactively monitoring and reporting on progress against the accreditation timeframe, problem solving and prioritising areas for additional service improvement support.

Set up and co-chair programme assurance meetings throughout the course of accreditation lifecycle.

Establish and maintain reporting and governance structures for Imaging and Cardiorespiratory.

Provide a range of ‘project management tools’ and sharing of best practice in the development of ideas and initiatives.

Drive the clinical and administrative workforce to create high performance and a sustainable organisation, ready to meet the criteria for accreditation from QSI and UKAS including recruitment, training and development, appraisals, workforce planning and performance management.

Identify gaps in our capabilities to deliver accredited Imaging and Cardiorespiratory services, making sure that the key principles are embedded in business as usual.

Work with senior management to ensure relevant knowledge and expertise is shared and efficiencies made where available.

Continuous review and evaluation of the program ensuring ROI and KPI are being delivered.

Develop an audit plan for the program and perform regular audits to ensure the programme is fit for purpose and meets current accreditation standards.

Ownership of all programme risks, milestones and performance tracking and escalating where appropriate to the Trust Risk Register.

Act as risk lead for all QSI and IQIPS accreditation related Trust and program risks.

Prepare and present regular update reports and briefs to the senior management team and clinical governance team as appropriate.

Monitor and capture performance output and ensure lessons learned are shared and known for additional accreditation teams starting on their journey.

Contribute and lead the way on change management capability and building of sustainable, continuous improvement approaches.

Take responsibility for performance reporting, project management and organisational development in delivery of the QSI and IQIPS accreditation.

Ensure messages and communications are clear and concise and appropriate to the staff within the services, this role will bring much needed clarity and confidence to

what can appear to some staff as overwhelming.

May be asked to perform other duties occasionally which are not included above, but which will be consistent with the role.

PLANNING AND ORGANISING

Apply a structured programme methodology.

Undertake a detailed GAP analysis of accreditation requirements against the Trust and local policies, procedures and SOPs.

Ensure that specific projects are developed, delivered and monitored throughout the process.

Manage the delivery of projects and deadlines within agreed timescales and budgets and to specified criteria.

Support the Imaging and Cardiorespiratory leads with planning and data collection as new networks develop.

Measure project progress and provide the information and support necessary to enable the project to be controlled and steered to successful completion.

Apply high level skills in change management and organisational change to achieve best practice.

DECISION MAKING

Work autonomously within agreed scope of projects.

Liaise with key resource owners as necessary to achieve project milestones.

Escalate issues as necessary.
