Summary
A little about myself:
I am a 7-year-old vibrant independent girl who enjoys going out for a play and spending time with my friends and family. I have been diagnosed with ASD and am able to communicate my wants and needs. I have paralysis on my right side. I am very good at using my left side and I can walk and run but can be wobbly on my feet sometimes.
Driver required to take me out.
Female preferred.
Hours of work: 4 hours during term time and 8 hours during school holidays

Essential:
I need you to:
• Provide enriching and fun activities that we can enjoy together.
• Ensure that I am safe out in the community, I need support in recognising dangers
• Be patient with me and take the time to explain to me what is happening and talk me through things. This helps me with transitions.
• To be on time and be happy to take instruction and support to make sure I am well cared for.
Desirable
I’d prefer if:
• You were female.
• You have previous experience working with children with ASD and children with additional needs.
I’d like support to:
• manage transitions
• manage my emotions
• keep myself safe
I will need my PA to:
Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Be confident, mature and have patience.
Be dependable and arrive on time.
Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
Be adaptable and flexible.
Be supportive but not take over.
Have business insurance on your car to take me out.
Concerning the position
A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
