Summary
In addition to carrying out the duties required of a removal porter you will generally be responsible for each move you conduct & work as a team with the porter(s)
You’ll need:
*to be polite to customers
*to be careful and respectful with clients belongings
*the ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure
*to be trustworthy and reliable
*the ability to work well with others and use your initiative
*a good level of fitness
*to work flexible hours (irregular start/finish times, nights away)
Your day-to-day duties could include:
*Travelling to various locations
*Checking with customers which items to be moved
*Dismantling/re-assembling larger items of furniture for packing and removal
*Removing doors and using ladders to get large pieces of furniture in or out of a building
*Packing, loading effects into the truck & securing for transport.
*Deliver effects to the customers new home, carefully and un-damaged.
*Maintaining cleanliness of vehicles & Warehouse
Permanent Contract (Not seasonal) – guaranteed minimum hours all year round. (Generally working Monday – Friday with occasional Saturdays)
Clean driving license & Valid Driver CPC Card Required
Manual Handling & Removal skills Training will be given.
Immediate Start Min £14.50 P/Hr With appropriate Experience/Skills
£30 overnight allowance when away.
