Summary


We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic individual with a strong background in aseptic manipulation and excellent understanding of GMP and cleanroom behaviours to join our team in the UCH Production Department.

The post provides excellent progression and experience for operators currently working in a section 10 environment or MS unit looking to further expand their skill set through preparation of pharmaceutical products.

The successful postholder will be exposed to a range of manufacturing activities including antibiotics, monoclonal antibodies, chemotherapy, PN and clinical trials along with other patient specific doses. Our busy aseptic service compounds PN for adults (8000 pa), and neonates, dispenses chemo drugs (50,000 pa) and IV additives (12,000 pa).
You will need to be a Registered Pharmacy Technician or Science Manufacturing Technician with experience in the pharmaceutical industry, hospital aseptic units or other relevant GMP units.

This post provides excellent development for career progression to more senior leadership roles in the hospital / pharmaceutical manufacturing setting.

To carry out day-to-day operational duties to support the delivery of Aseptic Services from UCL Hospitals in accordance with the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice and nationally agreed standards.
The post holder will work within the limits of their own authority and responsibility, escalating issues as appropriate.
To assist in the aseptic training of new Technicians and Assistants and provide a high quality, safe, and efficient service to our patients.
To assist and deputise for the Senior Production Technicians where appropriate.
To rotate through both the Chemo and PN/CIVAS units, dispensing a variety of products and being a guardian for GMP and GCP.
