Rate: £95-110 per day

We have a fanstastic SEMH Teaching Assistant position a dedicated and high-performing SEMH Teaching Assistant to support a year 6 child in a leading primary school in East London. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant we want you to support the academic growth of this pupil whilst improving the mental and social wellbeing of this pupil.

The ideal SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
- Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the educational environment.
- A commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and promoting a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.

We're Looking For:
- A graduate in Criminology, Psychology, or a related field with a strong interest in youth justice or supporting students with SEMH needs.
- While prior experience is beneficial, full training and support will be provided.
- Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role.
- Key understanding of behaviour management techniques and positive behaviour support.
- A relevant qualification in education, psychology, or a related field (Not Mandatory).
