Summary
FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Technical Manager – Water based in Falmer.

Technical Manager – Water responsibilities:
Report directly to the Head of Technical Risk Management and oversee program-level technical governance for water projects, from defining initial needs through optioneering, solution development, detailed design, and construction support.
Provide technical assurance to teams of design managers and discipline design engineers in developing water technical solutions, from initial need statements through optioneering, solution development, value engineering, detailed design, and construction support.
Develop cost-effective design solutions that align with the project budget, ensuring risks are properly managed and clearly communicated throughout the solution development process.
Ensure sustainable design solutions are developed in compliance with CDM Regulations.
Ensure that design solutions comply with all program requirements and adhere to established systems and governance procedures.
Perform additional duties, attend training sessions, and work flexible hours as needed, provided they align with the overall responsibilities of this role.
Technical Manager – Water requirements:
Commercially astute
Proven experience in delivering technical projects within a design-build environment
Proven experience leading and managing multi-disciplinary design teams
Background in the Water Treatment Industry
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field
Capable of identifying and managing project/programme risks and changes to project scope
