This is a hybrid role, requiring office attendance two days per week.
The role:
On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a talented and motivated Commercial Property Lawyer to join a dynamic team and handle a wide range of property work across five boroughs’ shared services.
You should be able to demonstrate good experience of managing a complex workload relating to commercial property asset management e.g. sales, purchases, leases, licence etc, good understanding of land title matters and relevant legislation relating to property transactions.
This role excludes routine residential matters, such as right to buy, lease extensions, and residential management, and focuses on commercial property transactions.
Proven experience in commercial property law with a strong track record of managing complex cases is essential for the role and any previous local authority experience is preferred.
What the client is looking for:
Proven experience in commercial property law with a strong track record of managing complex cases and transactions
Experience of commercial property asset management, such as, sales, purchases, leases, licence etc
Excellent understanding of property legislation, land title matters, and the legal frameworks surrounding commercial property
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a busy, fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders, including local authority teams, clients, and external partners
Local authority experience is preferred
