We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team
for Night Shifts delivering holistic, person centred care within a calm, family orientated environment to persons aged 30+ years with mild to moderate Mental Health disorders, Behavioural and Personality Disorders and adults with mild to moderate Learning Disabilities. As Nurse in Charge, along with your clinical duties, you will be responsible for the running of the Home supported by a member of the care team.
Salary: Negotiable – (dependant on qualification and experience)
You must have:
A current NMC pin
Evidence of clinical CPD
A caring nature and desire to make a difference in someone’s life
An interest in Mental Health & Learning Disabilities
A flexible approach to the job
Ability to lead a team
The right to work in the UK
A good level of English – both written and spoken
You need to be:
Able to work Night shifts
Flexible to meet the needs of the Home
Approachable and supportive to individuals
Empathetic to the challenges of people with Mental Health conditions and people with Learning Disabilities
Open to new ways of working

Established in 1985, Miramar is an Independent Nursing Home registered for 28 Beds. A large Victorian House, with many original features retained, offers residents a homely feel and many people comment about the warm and friendly atmosphere when they visit. Known affectionately as The Castle by the Sea, Miramar employs a small yet fantastic staff team who work together with residents, their families and friends and partner professionals to provide a calm, supportive environment and family atmosphere. It can be a very challenging job but it is very diverse – no two days are the same. Staff are very supportive of each other and we all help out where and when we can. We have one aim; to provide care and support to an individual so they can live the life they choose to the best of their ability and at the end of the day they can say they had a good day.
