The Musculoskeletal MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy service works both with our partnership organisation (Sussex MSK Partnership), and other local providers, to assess and treat patients with a range of acute and chronic MSK conditions, including pre and post-operative rehabilitation. The teams work very closely with our consultant body and advanced practitioners to ensure patients follow our pathways of care based on current research evidence and NICE guidelines.

You will be part of our busy MSK department, supporting our specialist physiotherapists to provide both clinical excellence and outstanding patient care, in line with the Trust values.

These roles are also integral to the overall department function, supporting patient rehabilitation, service audit and evaluation, upkeep of the gym and related equipment, as well as supporting students and the wider team.

With core skills in exercise rehabilitation, you will be integral to the delivery of our patient rehabilitation programmes, and will lead on delivery of specialist exercise for the management of osteoarthritis of the hip and knee, and post operative protocols for rehabilitation. We will support training to deliver these programmes as well as PTI specific in-service training and supervision. You will work through a framework of competencies achieved through a mix of work-based, assessment and treatment opportunities, to meet the needs of patients in both healthcare and leisure access environments.

Data collection will be central to this role, monitoring patient outcomes and supporting the team to evaluate effectiveness of our programmes and drive innovation in service delivery. IT skills to facilitate data collection and presentation are therefore considered to be invaluable for this role.

A wide range of staff benefits are available to our staff including staff development, enrolment in the NHS pension scheme, auto-enrolment to our Temporary Workforce Service, access to onsite nurseries. staff restaurants and accommodation.

In addition to an internal Occupational Health department, all staff also have access to free psychological support through our confidential Employee Assistance Programme. Onsite parking is available from only £50 a year.
