Bookkeeper Position
Location: Walsall, UK (On-site)
Salary: £28k+ (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time, office-based
Role Description
As a Bookkeeper at Ambertex Limited, you will play a vital role in managing the company’s financial processes. You will be responsible for maintaining financial statements, performing bookkeeping duties, utilising Xero accounting software, and handling journal entries, ensuring accurate and efficient financial management.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience.
Proficiency in financial statements, bookkeeping, and journal entries.
Advanced Excel skills and expertise in Xero accounting software.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Experience in payroll and solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
Responsibilities:
Manage bookkeeping tasks, including sales and purchase invoice entries.
Record and reconcile bank, cash, and credit card transactions.
Prepare and submit VAT returns, including VAT schemes, ensuring compliance.
Post month-end journals (e.g., depreciation, accruals, and prepayments).
Use Xero and Excel to manage and organise financial data effectively.
Communicate with HMRC as needed and address client inquiries related to bookkeeping.
Assist with management accounts preparation and reporting.
The Ideal Candidate:
Has strong experience managing multiple financial tasks and clients.
Demonstrates excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Is confident and highly experienced in working with Xero accounting software.
The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and take the initiative to contribute to or lead efforts in enhancing financial technology, reporting, and governance, utilising tools such as Power BI and PowerApps.
