JOB TITLE: LABORATORY LEAD



JOB TYPE: FULL TIME



HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 5.00pm (with half an hour unpaid lunch break)



SALARY RANGE: £35,000 - £39,000 PER ANNUM (DEPENDENT ON SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE)





JOB PURPOSE:

To take responsibility for activities in our Glasgow-based laboratory, including routine/ad-hoc testing and laboratory
administration, to provide laboratory testing to customers and provide support in the absence of the Quality Manager.



Duties to include:



* Administer, undertake and manage laboratory testing.
* Participate in Quality activities including investigations, deviations, change controls, risk assessments, complaints and
document control.
* Undertake routine quality investigations for the Quality Manager to review, including performing root cause analysis.
* Ensure all testing is performed to GMP standards and is fully compliant with the QMS.
* Provide direction for the other members of the laboratory team on a daily basis.
* Coach, mentor and motivate other members of the laboratory team, ensuring that adequate training is provided.
* Maintain full, accurate and retrievable laboratory records including testing
* Take ownership for, administer, manage and deliver routine and ad-hoc testing across all Assured Micro business activities.
* Have knowledge of data integrity, ALCOA+ and ensure that all laboratory data is treated confidentially.
* Manage laboratory activities actively and efficiently, including effective communication with interested customers, to ensure
the best outcomes for Assured Micro’s customers.
* Maintain a customer-focussed approach in delivering full and accurate testing – both routine and ad-hoc.
* Provide support and technical expertise for client and regulatory audits.
* Introduce innovative means of making laboratory systems more efficient and / or effective.



Knowledge and Skills:

* Background scientific training and / or experience in a field associated with microbiology.
* Have laboratory supervisory experience and capabilities.
* Have experience of GMP licenced facilities.
* Good IT skills in the use of Microsoft office products.

in-house Microbiology department. Today, Assured Micro provides a range of integrated services to companies throughout Scotland
and the North of England.

Micronclean is a family-owned business based in Lincolnshire employing over 400 people. The company provides products and services
to various industries.

Our current focus areas include rental of specialist work wear to cleanroom industries (pharmaceutical, medical devices,
aerospace), and of protective workwear to manufacturing industries (engineering, automotive). The company also manufactures and

India, Australia, and Canada.
