ERP Experience with ERP Reporting skills are essential for this role.

About the Role


This is a unique opportunity to lead a small, dedicated team while remaining directly involved in critical purchasing activities. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing procurement strategies that support business growth and operational efficiency. The position offers a blend of strategic planning and day-to-day operational management, ensuring no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business goals

  • Identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives across the procurement function

  • Analyse MRP data to inform purchasing decisions

  • Manage the end-to-end purchasing cycle, from requisition to delivery

  • Personally review and approve critical purchase orders

  • Lead key vendor negotiations and develop strong supplier relationships

  • Collaborate with production to prevent material shortages and resolve supply chain disruptions

  • Oversee inventory management and implement best practices

  • Supervise and mentor a small team, creating a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence

What We're Looking For


  • At least 3 years' hands-on experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar procurement leadership role

  • Demonstrable success in delivering cost savings and optimising procurement processes

  • Strong experience with MRP systems

  • Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams

  • Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and problem-solving skills

  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels of the organisation


Desirable:


  • EPICOR experience

  • Knowledge of quality management systems in regulated environments
