Summary
Business Development Manager - Air, Sea & Freight Logistics
Manchester - Hybrid Working (Office + Remote)
__ Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM (1-hour break)
Role Purpose
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across air, sea, road freight, and customs services. This role focuses on winning new business, growing existing accounts, and enhancing our market share in multimodal logistics. You will play a key role in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and building long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities in air, sea, road freight, and customs.
Create and execute strategic sales plans to meet growth targets.
Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
Work with internal teams to deliver seamless logistics solutions.
Research market trends and provide competitive insights.
Prepare tailored sales presentations and proposals.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service terms.
Report on performance and forecasts to management.
Requirements
Proven experience in freight logistics sales (air & sea focus).
Strong knowledge of multimodal transport operations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Solid experience in logistics sales or business development.
Strong command of English (spoken and written).
Stable employment history.
Able to pass 5-year employment checks + DBS check.
