Role Overview
We are looking for a Utility Officer to join our fantastic procurement department. The Utility Officer will be responsible for enabling the correct financial process and responsibilities are in place and to ensure visibility and accuracy of data across the business. This role will manage and process any utility invoices which currently includes electricity, gas, heat, water tax.

Key responsibilities:

Responsible for the end-to-end processing of utility invoices. Includes confirmation of liability and the validation of 3rd party invoices
Check and apply to relevant budget and cost centre coding using the available finance tools (D365)
Responsible for resolving external and internal customer queries promptly, administrating the team mailbox including liaison with the A2D teams, 3rd party providers as required via phone, email or written correspondence
Establish relationships and collaborate with internal staff in order to collect key data (An example being meter readings) and provide feedback regarding consumption/financial metrics
Establish relationships with 3rd party suppliers (e.g. utility companies, local councils) to resolve queries promptly
To work with Energy, utility, finance and D365 project teams to deal with any urgent cases or legal notices promptly and effectively
Assisting with maintaining shared information for the team, internally and externally as required
Attend internal and external meetings as required by the energy/property services team
More about you

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A*- C)
Experience of working within a fast-paced high-volume setting
Experience of working with large data
Experience of providing excellent customer services
Financial management of Utilities / council tax
Good understanding of Accounts Payable processes
Working knowledge of Microsoft office and financial systems
