Summary
Are you someone who loves the outdoors? Do you believe in 'classrooms without walls'? Are you someone who thinks that our learners do not always fit into the 'mainstream box'? Fancy a new challenge? We are expanding our wonderful forest school provision at our site in Brislington, Bristol and are seeking staff to join our team. Ideally you will have a Forest School qualification, however this is not essential. What is essential is a passion for making a difference, so if you are an experienced primary school teacher who wants a change of direction then we would like to hear from you. We would be prepared to put the right candidate through Forest School Leader accredited training.
You will need to enjoy being outdoors as the majority of the day is spent literally outdoors with our learners.
You will need to have experience of working with young people at Key Stage 2 who have Special Educational Needs and/or disabilities. The majority of our learners have Education, Health, Care Plans and have primary needs of Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs.
We are currently an Alternative Education Provider who are in the process of registering for DFE approval which will mean that we can then take learners on full-time packages, currently learners can attend the provision for up to 15 hours per week, so you will work with a range of learners during the week.
For an informal discussion prior to application please contact our Chief Operating Officer Lisa Savage
