Summary

Are you a passionate, dedicated, and creative English teacher looking to make a real impact in a vibrant and supportive school community?

We are seeking a qualified English Teacher (QTS essential) to join our successful and thriving English department at one of our schools in South London.

About the Role:

  • Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential)


  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that inspire a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking


  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning


  • Assess student progress and provide effective feedback in line with school policies


  • Support pupils of varying abilities to achieve their full potential


  • Take an active role in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities or literacy initiatives


    The Ideal Candidate Will:

    • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK


    • Have a degree in English or a related subject


    • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language


    • Be committed to high expectations and improving student outcomes


    • Be reflective, collaborative, and eager to contribute to a dynamic team


    • Have excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
