Summary
Candidates must hold HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist and have completed an IBMS Specialist Diploma (or CPSM log book) in Clinical Biochemistry. Candidates should be in possession of strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and have a minimum 2 years post registration experience in Clinical Biochemistry, (2 years in acute hospital setting) with evidence of CPD. Candidates who do not hold the completed IBMS Specialist Diploma may be considered but will be taken on under an Annex 21 contract where a percentage of Specialist Band 6 BMS salary will apply as per terms outlined in the NHS Terms and Conditions of Service Handbook. Candidates taken on under Annex 21 contracts will be expected to complete the IBMS Specialist Diploma within 2 years of commencement of the role Training support will be provided for completion of the IBMS Specialist Diploma.
