We are currently looking for a Rent and Service Charge Assistant to join The Sovini Group.

As a Rent and Service Charge Assistant, you will be expected to:

• The rent and service charge assistant is a pivotal part of the finance team, supporting the team in all day-to-day financial processes.
• Working closely with the Finance Business Partner the Rent and Service Charge Assistant will be expected to support the rent and service charge function within the Sovini group.
• This entry level role gains exposure to all companies in the group and enables the assistant to develop a wide knowledge and skill base. Thus building a sound understanding of the Sovini Group, our financial controls and eventually enabling the rent and service charge assistant to further their career to the next level of Rent and Service Charge Officer.

To be successful in a Rent and Service Charge Assistant role, the skills you will need:
• GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English. Grades A*- C / 9 - 4.
• Relevant financial experience within a Registered Provider or large organisation.
• Well-developed listening, communication and questioning skills.
• Excellent numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail.
• The ability to proficiently use office computer and finance software including word-processing, spreadsheet and internet systems.
• A proactive approach to problem solving.
• Strong analytical and organisational abilities.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptive to change.
• The ability to work remotely and flexibly where necessary.
• Excellent communication skills, possessing the ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the Organisation across multiple communication channels including Teams and face-to-face.
• Ability to use Microsoft office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Ability to work in an agile working environment.
• Team player with the ability to work off own initiative.
• Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.

Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential:
• A Higher National Certificate (HNC); Part-Qualified/Qualified AAT Accountant; or Equivalent qualification
• Knowledge of financial management software such as SUN or business central systems.
• A proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships.
