The Role:
We are looking for a Gate & Barrier Engineer to work across the UK, based out of our Liverpool location. You’ll be responsible for the installation, servicing, and repair of high-security gates, barriers, and perimeter systems for commercial and industrial clients.
This is a hands-on field-based role involving some nationwide travel and occasional overnight stays. A fully equipped company van will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation and maintenance of:
Security gates
Automated barriers and car park security systems
Perimeter fencing and access control systems
Conduct fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs
Ensure systems meet safety and performance standards
Work both independently and as part of a team on nationwide projects
Communicate professionally with clients and site managers
Complete documentation and reports accurately and promptly
What We’re Looking For:
Strong mechanical and electrical engineering background
Previous experience with automated gates, barriers, or fencing systems
Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to installation work
Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
Good communication and organisational skills
CSCS card and relevant qualifications (DHF, electrical certs, etc.) are advantageous
Full UK driving licence
