What we do: Provide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for both North and South Lanarkshire council areas in respect of the compilation of the Valuation Rolls, Valuation (Council Tax) List and Register of Electors.

Our vision: To deliver quality in the work which we undertake, provide efficient services to all service users, and ensure completeness and accuracy of the Electoral Register, Valuation Rolls and the Valuation (Council Tax) Lists.

Who are we looking for: The successful applicant will be recruited to provide supervision and management of a clerical and administration team, dealing with the organisation and control of an efficient administration service for valuation, council tax and electoral registration purposes. You will undertake specialist clerical and administrative activities in accordance with predetermined procedures, instructions and standards to support the effectiveness of the service. You will provide specialist advice on administrative, valuation and electoral registration issues and will require detailed knowledge of electoral law and procedures. You will contribute to the development and operation of electoral registration and administrative information technology systems. The postholder is required to create and provide reports, records and statistics for management as required, reporting directly to the Audit and Information Team Leader.

You will have a positive, professional attitude together with the ability to work under pressure while ensuring strict deadlines are achieved and the ability to work as part of a team, or individually. In addition, you may be required to represent LVJB at external and partnership meetings.
