Hospitality and Catering Lecturer - Dunstable

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Hospitality and Catering Lecturer to join our team in Dunstable. This permanent, part-time role offers an exciting opportunity to share your expertise, inspire learners, and support the development of the next generation of hospitality professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons and practical training across a range of hospitality and catering subjects
  • Design and deliver engaging learning experiences tailored to different learner levels and vocational areas
  • Set and assess assignments, track student progress, and provide constructive feedback
  • Monitor attendance, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment
  • Support learners' development of industry-standard practical skills and employability
  • Lead or support the organisation of workplace experiences and employer engagement activities
  • Participate in curriculum development, quality assurance activities, and team meetings
  • Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and equality and diversity throughout teaching practice
  • Encourage learners to achieve their full potential and support their progression
Candidate Profile

We welcome applicants who demonstrate the following:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards)
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
  • Assessor Award (or willingness to obtain)
  • Up-to-date vocational knowledge and recent experience in the hospitality or catering industry
  • At least 3 years' teaching experience within a relevant setting

  • Confidence in managing groups of learners and creating a positive learning environment
  • Ability to plan effectively and deliver engaging sessions
