Summary

Tyler Hill Consulting are looking to hire a Senior/Project Development Manager to lead the end-to-end development of their renewable energy projects and/or manage local DSA/JV partnerships in local jurisdictions, from site identification to financial close. The ideal candidate will have expertise in project management, permitting, stakeholder engagement, and navigating regulatory frameworks. The role will be based in London, and will suit a motivated, dynamic and ambitious individual who is looking to join a very well-funded platform.

Responsibilities
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from origination to construction readiness.
• Manage DSA/JV partnerships in local Jurisdictions.
• Conduct site identification, feasibility studies, and resource assessments with internal technical teams.
• Evaluate and secure land leases, easements, and agreements.
• Manage local, state, and municipality or zoning permitting processes.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, zoning, and interconnection regulations.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities to navigate approval processes.
• Develop relationships with landowners, community members, and other key stakeholders.
• Conduct public consultations and outreach to address community concerns and build project support.
• Work with local partners on community engagement activities.
• Lead and establish annual development budgets and work with finance on monthly or quarterly reporting against the approved budget.
• Collaborate with finance teams to financial models, and project forecasts.
• Identify and secure funding, tax credits, and incentives for renewable projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams during project handovers.
• Mentor junior team members and provide strategic direction to project development managers
• Partner with legal, technical, finance and operations teams to mitigate risks and resolve challenges.
• Stay informed about renewable energy trends, market dynamics, and policy changes.
• Identify and pursue business opportunities aligned with organisational strategy.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in renewable energy project development.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale wind, solar, or storage projects.
• Strong understanding of permitting, interconnection processes, and renewable energy policies.
• Experience with project financing and PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) negotiations.
• Excellent project management and organisational skills.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities for stakeholder engagement.
