Summary

We are looking for an experienced, driven, dynamic and passionate Occupational Therapist to join the Reablement team. You will be passionate about instigating positive change and want to make a real difference to the quality of life of Manchester’s residents. Reablement is a citywide service providing strength-based assessment and goal-focused intervention, within a person's home.

As an experienced Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing professional support and guidance, training team members, supporting students and apprentices and acting as an expert advisor on rehabilitation, equipment, adaptations and moving and handling. You will deliver impactful therapy interventions to enable people to remain independent within their homes and local communities and provide a comprehensive and streamlined service to individuals to maximise independence, choice, safety and quality of life.

You will manage a busy, complex and varied caseload, conducting strengths-based functional OT assessments, applying a person-centered approach, promoting positive risk taking, wellbeing and independence.

You will collaborate with Manchester residents and other healthcare professionals to ensure a joined-up approach to assessment, facilitating optimal outcomes, creating personalised reablement plans, increasing independence and reducing risk.
