Band 7/8a Practitioner Psychologist or Band 7 Psychological Therapist



As part of the transformation within EPUT and to further develop the Eating Disorder Service, an opportunity has arisen for a Band 7/8a Practitioner Psychologist or Band 7 Psychological Therapist.



As a Practitioner Psychologist or Band 7 Psychological Therapist, you will work within the Essex Adult Eating Disorders

Service to enable the delivery of FREED (First episode Rapid Early intervention for Eating Disorders). This post has been created to support the FREED project and to work as part of the existing service as part of the multidisciplinary team.



You will provide a specialist psychological service to adults across all sectors of care, including community, day service and inpatient, providing highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy.



You will utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service.

The post holder will be required to:

· Work across locality and interagency boundaries to meet the needs of a highly complex client group.

· Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.

· Utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service.

· Offer advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to non-psychologist/psychotherapist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers.

· Use appropriate evidence based psychological therapies for example Family Therapy, MANTRA or CBT-E.
