As we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented Noodle Speciality Chef to join our team and contribute to our culinary excellence.

Job Description:

The Specialist Chef will be responsible for preparing and presenting a wide variety of traditional Sichuan dishes with an emphasis on authenticity and quality. The ideal candidate must have at least 10 years of proven experience working in authentic Sichuan cuisine, with deep knowledge of regional techniques, ingredients, and flavour profiles. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is essential for effective communication within the kitchen team and to ensure the integrity of traditional recipe transmission.

Key Responsibilities:

Culinary Excellence:

Prepare and cook a full range of authentic Sichuan dishes, including cold starters, hot dishes, and traditional Sichuan-style noodles.
Ensure high standards of taste, presentation, and authenticity in every dish.
Use traditional Sichuan cooking methods including dry-frying, steaming, braising, and use of signature ingredients such as Sichuan peppercorn, chilli bean paste, and fermented vegetables.

Kitchen Management:

Oversee kitchen operations related to Sichuan cuisine.

Work closely with the Head Chef to plan menus, manage prep, and ensure efficient kitchen workflow.

Train and supervise junior kitchen staff on Sichuan techniques and standards.

Quality and Compliance:

Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety at all times.

Manage stock and inventory specific to Sichuan ingredients.

Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.

Communication & Teamwork:

Communicate effectively with team members in Mandarin and English.

Support the multicultural team environment and contribute to a positive and respectful workplace culture.

Requirements:

Minimum 10 years of full-time experience in authentic Sichuan cuisine.

Expertise in traditional Sichuan cooking techniques and ingredients.

Proven ability to replicate and innovate within regional Chinese culinary traditions.

Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English.

Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.

Must meet UK Skilled Worker visa eligibility or already have the right to work in the UK.
