Summary
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) specialising in security training and assessment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of our security training programs, including Door Supervision and Close Protection courses. The IQA will work closely with trainers, assessors, and the Quality Assurance Manager to maintain high standards and compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of training delivery and assessments to ensure compliance with SIA standards and other regulatory requirements.
Standardisation: Implement standardisation processes to ensure consistency in training and assessment practices across all security courses.
Feedback and Improvement: Provide constructive feedback to trainers and assessors, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all quality assurance activities, including observations, feedback, and standardisation meetings.
Compliance: Ensure all training materials, assessments, and records comply with SIA standards and other relevant regulations.
Internal Audits: Conduct regular internal audits of training sessions and assessments to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Trainer and Assessor Support: Support trainers and assessors through mentoring and coaching, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality training.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in training delivery and assessment processes, and implement best practices.
Reporting: Prepare and present reports on quality assurance activities, findings, and recommendations to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
IQA Qualification: Must hold a relevant IQA qualification (e.g., Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar IQA role, preferably within the security training sector.
SIA Licenses: Must hold current and valid SIA licenses for Door Supervision or Close Protection.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of SIA regulations, security procedures, and best practices.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback.
Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple quality assurance activities effectively.
IT Skills: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software for quality assurance purposes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in developing and implementing quality assurance frameworks.
Experience in conducting virtual quality assurance activities.
Additional certifications in related security disciplines.
Work Environment:
Quality assurance activities may be conducted in various settings, including classrooms, training centres, and practical training environments.
Occasional travel may be required to conduct quality assurance activities at different locations.
