Job Title: Administration Officer - Children in Care/Corporate Parenting Service Children’s Social Care
The role is Hybrid, with 3 days onsite.
An Enhanced DBS maybe required for this role, TBC
What's involved with this role:
An Administration Officer is needed on a temporary basis for 5 to 6 months, to provide admin support to the Service Manager, within the Children in Care/Corporate Parenting Service Children’s Social Care team. The role includes Diary management and minuting of meetings.
The role is Hybrid, with 3 days onsite.
Skills & Experience required:
Previous Admin experience ideally within a local authority
Previous minute taking experience - essential
Previous Diary management experience
Experience within Local Government/ confidential environment.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively to wide range of internal and external customers.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work on own initiative and manage own workload, completing tasks within tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
To provide an effective and high quality secretarial and administrative support service to Service Managers and other senior managers within Children in Care/Corporate Parenting Service.
Co-ordinate the Service Manager’s electronic calendar.
Process confidential correspondence on behalf of Service Manager in accordance with required timescales and standards.
To act as a first point of contact for the Service Manager, dealing independently with routine enquiries and requests for information from a range of colleagues, partners and members of the public either verbally or in writing, working within the Council’s Customer Care policy and displaying a can do attitude.
To contribute to the effective communication systems by both receiving and giving accurate messages/information to all levels of colleagues, partners and members of the public
