Summary

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to lead and coordinate key projects that support our mission and expand our community impact. This role involves managing community initiatives, liaising with stakeholders, overseeing budgets, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the charity or community sector, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for community development.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan, implement, and oversee projects aligned with the Association’s strategic goals
• Coordinate with staff, volunteers, community members, and external partners to ensure successful project delivery
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively
• Monitor and evaluate project outcomes and prepare reports for the Board of Trustees and funders
• Support fundraising efforts by assisting with grant applications and reporting requirements
• Foster strong relationships with community stakeholders, local authorities, and partner organisations
• Ensure compliance with relevant legal, financial, and governance frameworks
• Promote the Association’s work and engage the community through events and communications

Person Specification
• Proven experience managing projects in a charitable, community, or nonprofit setting
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
• Experience in budgeting, reporting, and grant management
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Knowledge of Islamic community needs and cultural sensitivity is highly desirable
• Familiarity with charity governance and compliance
• Relevant qualifications in project management or community development are an advantage
