Summary
Vp plc have an exciting opportunity to join their Head Office Team supporting the delivery of our Home Safe and Healthy Plan and this position of Group Health and Safety Program Manager will manage the delivery of key workstreams across all divisions of Vp plc.
Reporting to the Group Health, Safety and Sustainability Director the successful candidate willlead and shape an inclusive, innovative, and effective approach to Health and Safety. Working collaboratively with senior leaders and subject matter experts to embed a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that Health and Safety leadership is fully integrated across the business. This role offers a platform to influence and implement an engaging, forward-thinking strategy to deliver meaningful, long-term impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with divisional teams to understand their specific health and safety processes, challenges, and objectives, integrating best practices to create a cohesive group-wide approach.
- Support delivery of key elements of the Health and Safety plan, including collation of best practice examples and briefing
- Drive programmes from conception through to delivery including monitoring implementation via assurance and KPI monitoring
- Engage a diverse range of stakeholders to enable robust delivery and embedding of key health and safety initiatives
- Develop and refine policies, procedures, and processes to promote best practices in health and safety
- Develop and implement training strategies that empower employees and support professional growth
What We’re Looking For
- Proven delivery experience in a Health and Safety or related role
- NEBOSH Certificate / Diploma or recognised qualification in Health and Safety management
- Chartered Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH)
- Previous experience of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Demonstrable experience of the effective management and performance of people is essential
- Awareness of and sensitivity to wider strategic and commercial issues
- Ability to engage and build rapport with key stakeholders
