Summary
Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to: Hold a high level of communication skills and contribute to the wider development of others by presenting at conferences and publication of articles in the professional press. Demonstrate innovative and motivational leadership, acting as a role model and developing teamwork within the organisation. Clearly communicate Occupational Health (OH) guidance to employers both verbally and in written/electronic formats, in accordance with current MOD regulations and best practice. Provide subject matter expertise to the multidisciplinary team with regard to the planning and delivery of occupationally focused healthcare to the Reserve forces. Identify knowledge and skill gaps and seek clinical supervision and / or advice as appropriate to enhance learning and development. Participate and lead in healthcare governance activities that improve the quality of healthcare and the effectiveness of their own and others practice. Monitoring the effectiveness of all clinical practices through the quality assurance strategies, such as the use of audit and peer review. Encourage and evaluate feedback from stakeholders (e.g. service personnel, Chain of Command (CoC) or other clinicians) to enhance service delivery. Ensure patient safety and confidentiality is maintained and meets United Kingdom Strategic Command (UK Strat Com) and Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) policy and guidance.
