Summary
Are you an enthusiastic dietitian with an interest in working with adults in the acute setting? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic dietitian, to join the team at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) at Lister Hospital in East and North Hertfordshire, delivering a service as part of the Acute dietetic team. This is a permanent post, advertised as 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will work as part of the broader HCT Nutrition and Dietetic Service, which is Hertfordshire wide.
The role focuses on inpatient work including experience in the following areas:
• ITU (including enteral and parenteral feeding).
• Stroke.
• Gastroenterology.
• Outpatient clinics (face to face and virtual).

• To work as an independent practitioner using a specialist level of knowledge and skills in the provision of a dietetic service to a
caseload of inpatients in critical care and partake in shadowing opportunities with regard to parenteral nutrition with the aim to provide
this care.
• To work independently and to be responsible for the provision of a dietetic service to general inpatients in a variety of areas including stroke and gastroenterology.
• To contribute to the Nutrition ward round where appropriate.
• To deliver a designated outpatient clinic.
• To provide support for newly qualified / student dietitians as required.
