Summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Midwife to join our committed and dedicated Practice Development Team (PDT) as our fetal monitoring midwife at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. The post-holder, alongside the obstetric lead for fetal wellbeing, will be responsible for developing and implementing a programme of education, competency assessment and a culture of on-going risk assessment and support, in relation to fetal wellbeing assessment and clinical management in pregnancy, labour and birth.
The post holder will promote and develop excellence in midwifery practice and enhance client care by effectively leading and developing the support, education, training and development of staff within the service. We are looking for a midwife who will be a positive role model and provide leadership and management to enable staff and service development.
You will also provide occasional support to the maternity practice development team to deliver a variety of training days for members of the multi-disciplinary team including, health care assistants, nursery nurses, nurses, midwives from all departments, ODPs, theatre staff, Obstetricians and Anaesthetists.
The post holder will be a highly motivated and experienced Midwife who will offer leadership, expert advice and continuous support to Midwives within the Maternity Services.
The post holder will provide expertise to the service and support the implementation of national policy and national guidance/ evidence in relation to fetal monitoring, including implementation of the relevant Saving Babies' Lives Care Bundle version 3 elements, and achieving healthy birth outcomes
