Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic candidate to take up the post of Special Operations Response Team (SORT) Manager (Acute Trust Support).
The role will primarily involve developing, designing, and delivering an annual programme of training, and educationfor NHS hospital trainers within the NWAS NHS Trust geographical area.
The Train the Trainer programme will be related specifically to the Hospital decontamination capability,and will involve a blend of cognitive and practical training, on chemical PPE, decontamination techniques and procedures.
This training programme will be delivered at different hospital sites around the North West region which be arranged andcoordinated by the post holder in partnership with the hospital Emergency Planning Resilience and Response (EPRR) Managers.
The post holder will also be required to carry out annual audits on the hospital Trusts decontamination capability and produce capabilityaudit reports for the hospital Trusts, the Integrated Care Bureau (ICB) Leads covering that area and for the NHS England EPRR Leads.
The postholder will also be expected to support hospital Trusts in the development of their decontamination response plans, training and, exercise programmes that the hospital Trusts will carry out and provide guidance and support to hospital Trusts in this area of work.
