Summary
A lovely family in Hackney, London is looking for an After-school Nanny to help them in looking after their school-aged child. An ideal candidate will be someone flexible, proactive, and caring who can support their child in a caring, creative, and educational environment. They are looking for someone who is adaptable to a slightly later finish and open to do occasional babysitting. A key part of the role will be assisting with meal planning, providing a shopping list, and preparing simple, healthy meals for the child. The candidate will also be responsible in organising and supporting after-school playdates, either at local parks, homes, or attending local clubs. They value someone who enjoys engaging with children and creating opportunities for fun and social development. They need someone reliable, warm, and engaged individual who will become a trusted part of their family. Someone pet-friendly is ideal since the family owns cat at however there will be no pet care required.
Someone who speaks Spanish would be perfect for the role but the family is also open for someone who is fluent with the English language. A valid first aid qualification is essential for this position.
Working hours: Monday to Friday for 15 hours per week on a flexible schedule
Duties include:
School pick-ups
Pick up the child from camp during the school holidays
Providing supervision and constant care of the child
Stimulating children to read and be active
Planning and organising age-related activities, including play dates
Engaging the child in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as visits to the park
Managing all the child’s clothes/shoes/accessories keeping – (laundry, ensuring coats, and shoes are clean)
Tidying up after the child
Organising the child's belongings and clothing for the next day.
Weekly meal planning
Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the child
