Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Child Care Worker - Level Two - Grade G to join our team in creating a nurturing environment for children in residential care. As a vital part of our organization, you will be responsible for implementing care plans and providing direct support to children who have experienced various challenges in their lives. This role requires a deep understanding of child development and behavioral management techniques. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that each child’s needs are met holistically. Furthermore, you’ll play a crucial role in facilitating recreational activities, educational support, and daily living skills, encouraging children to develop independence and self-esteem. It is essential that you possess strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy living environment and monitoring the emotional well-being and progress of each child in your care. Responsibilities
Implement and monitor individualized care plans for children.
Provide emotional support and guidance to children in care.
Facilitate and participate in recreational and educational activities.
Assist children with daily living skills and personal hygiene tasks.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies for behavior management.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and incidents.
Ensure the safety and well-being of children within the residential environment.
Requirements
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; relevant degree preferred.
Prior experience in child care or residential services is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of child development principles and behavioral management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £16.65
