Summary
Applications are invited for a Junior Clinical Fellow in Plastic Surgery, based at Royal Preston Hospital initially for a 12 month period
Although this post is not recognised for training purposes, considerable “hands on” training is given in line with skills and experience.
In this role you will be working within a supportive and educationally focused environment, although this post is not recognised for training purposes, considerable “hands on” training isgiveninlinewithskillsandexperience.
This post will provide Plastic Surgery experience in a major trauma centre and would be suitable for a person wishing to obtain CT / ST1/2 level experience, or ST3. This post would be suitable for a pre ST3 post experience.
• Admission of new patients, including clerking.
• You will be expected to be on the ward during the normal working day except for natural breaks and when clinical duties elsewhere so demand and participate in daily ward rounds in adult and children's ward.
• Day to day care of patients.
• Provide cross-cover for other colleagues as required of the working
• Attendance in operating theatres
• Attendance in outpatients' clinics (depending on Consultant attachment)
