AsAccountable Officer for the Surgery Division, you’ll work alongside the Divisional Medical Director and Divisional Nursing Director to lead the strategic and operational delivery of both clinical and non-clinical services. • Oversee the direct delivery of all patient services within the Surgery Division.
• Lead performance against national and Trust targets across care quality, efficiency, and productivity.
• Champion service development and continuous improvement, aligning with best practice and strategic planning.
• Collaborate closely with management teams and corporate directorates to deliver the Trust’s overarching objectives.
• Inspire and empower autonomous, high-performing teams to deliver compassionate, patient-centred care.
• Build strong, positive partnerships across a wide range of stakeholders and health system partners.

The Divisional Director is the Accountable Officer for the Surgery Division and is responsible, alongside the Divisional Medical Director and the Divisional Nursing Director, for the direct delivery of all clinical and non clinical patient services managed within the Division. This involves ensuring that high quality services are provided to patients and that all operational and performance targets, including RTT, ED 4 Hours ; Cancer
access and waiting times; financial balance, Productivity , Efficiency and Transformation (PET), and HR KPIs are met. . The role also includes ensuring that services are continually improved and developed in line with best practice standards and the business planning process..
