Skills & Experience required:

Experience in a transport orientated or special educational needs and disability (SEND) discipline.
Ability to accurately complete basic financial and arithmetic calculations, produce and analyse attendance and travel data identifying any change in travel trends that could impact on the Team.
Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications or equivalent including the following: Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and have a willingness to learn new applications and technology as appropriate
An understanding of the requirements and challenges of working in a Home to School Travel.
Experience and/or working knowledge of Home to School Travel, children and young people with additional needs and SEND Code of Practice and Home to School Statutory Travel Guidance.
Experience of undertaking analysis and presenting information in a variety of formats e.g. Diagrams, maps and graphs etc.
Ability to coordinate tasks and allocated aspects of a project.



What's involved with this role:

A part-time Travel And Statistics Administrator / Finance Officer is needed on temporary basis for approximately 5 to 6 months.

The role will centre around processing the personal travel budgets (PTB’s). You will be supporting the team to help process Personal Travel Budgets, liaising with families about the process, payment details, analysing attendance data. This involves setting up any new PTB’s through the council’s finance system, adding any new PTB’s to the PTB spreadsheet, calculating and processing payments.

This is a part-time role for 18.5 hours per week. Days and hours to be worked to be confirmed.

Key Responsibilities:

To ensure tasks and allocated aspects of the Home to School Travel Team are completed on time and to standards set by the team manager.
To take into account Home to School Statutory Travel Statutory Guidance set by the DFE, SEND Code of Practice and the council’s Home to School Travel Policy.
Receiving and processing requests for Home to School Travel Team support, taking into account DFE statutory guidance, SEND Code of Practice and council travel policy.
Supporting the team to help process Personal Travel Budgets, liaising with families about the process, payment details, analysing attendance data.
Supporting the team to help process data for the Home to School Travel budget.
Monitor and update spreadsheets, Personal Travel Budgets and Post 16 travel etc, and analysing any change in trends which could have an impact on the Team.
Assist in the calculation of recharges to other teams and LAs for travel.
