SEN Learning Support Assistant – Taunton

Location: Taunton, Somerset
Salary: £88.99–£95 per day
Contract: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent

About the Role:
An excellent, well-resourced special school in Taunton is looking for an experienced In-Class Support Assistant. You may have worked as a support worker, in-class support worker, or a Learning Support Advisor previously. You may have a related qualification or the ability to demonstrate relevant experience. You would be able to support children with a range of special educational needs including learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), sensory, speech and language impairments, and behavioural difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN.

  
  

• Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans.

  
  

• Support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in school activities.

  
  

• Promote positive behavior and social development.

  
  

  Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEN.

    
    

  • Understanding of various strategies and interventions to support students with SEND.

    
    

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    
    

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
