Key Requirements:

Strong understanding of building regulations, construction drawings, and compliance standards.
Proven experience supervising teams in a housing, repairs, or construction setting.
Excellent communication, customer service, and leadership skills.
Comfortable working with spreadsheets, Microsoft Word/Excel, and communications software.
Experience and knowledge of contract management.
Technical experience related to general repairs.
Trade NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
Valid UK driving license.



We are looking for a dedicated Housing Repairs Supervisor. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role, ensuring that responsive repairs, voids, and planned maintenance work are completed to high standards, on time, and within budget. You’ll be leading front-line operatives, managing performance, and delivering results that matter to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of multi-trade operatives, conducting appraisals, 1:1s, and toolbox talks.
Ensure statutory compliance in areas like Gas, Electrical, and Fire Risk Assessments through inspections and sign-off procedures.
Plan and manage material resources, stocks, and equipment to maximize operational efficiency.
Collaborate with planners and other supervisors to ensure service demands are met through efficient scheduling.
Conduct pre- and post-work inspections, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and customer-focused delivery.
Monitor health & safety compliance and champion a strong safety culture.
Approve work variations, manage site visits, and ensure performance monitoring is in place.
Represent the service in resident meetings and events (some evenings required).
