Summary

Events Coordinator – St Ives

A prestigious resort in St Ives is currently seeking a full-time Events Coordinator to join their dynamic Events team. This opportunity is perfect for someone with a passion for hospitality and strong organisational skills, looking to thrive in a busy and rewarding environment.

Key Details:

Location: St Ives, Cornwall
Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week, with varied shifts (9am–5pm or 2pm–10pm). Weekend and Bank Holiday availability is essential
Pay: £12.44 per hour
Type: Permanent contract
Expected hours: Minimum of 40 per week

Role Overview:

The Events Coordinator will support the Events department with a wide range of administrative tasks, playing a crucial part in ensuring smooth operations and high service standards. Responsibilities will include managing enquiries, coordinating bookings, maintaining customer records, and assisting with client communications and on-site hosting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle enquiries professionally and convert them into confirmed bookings
• Maintain and manage the Events database and follow-up systems
• Coordinate show rounds and assist in generating new business
• Provide exceptional service to event organisers and VIP guests on arrival and departure
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless event delivery
• Support the creation of sales strategies and annual planning in conjunction with the Events Manager
• Ensure all brochures, packages, and promotional materials are current and accurate
• Assist in producing weekly event schedules and internal communications
• Support Reception with out-of-hours enquiries and training

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in events coordination or hospitality is ideal
• Familiarity with Rezlynx software is beneficial (training provided)
• Strong communication and administrative skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a varied schedule

Additional Information:
