Summary
TD Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's team. You’ll support senior engineers and contribute to the full project lifecycle, designing mechanical systems for a wide range of sectors including residential, education, and commercial.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical systems for various building projects
Support senior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Attend client meetings and provide technical input
Produce specifications, reports, and surveys
Use AutoCAD, Revit, and design software for drawings and calculations
Assist with tender packages and budgeting
Ensure compliance with building regulations and industry standards
Requirements:
HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Experience with Hevacomp/IES VE, AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Full UK driving licence
Knowledge of CIBSE Guides, Building Regs, CDM, BREEAM, Passivhaus, etc.
Desirable:
Experience with thermal modelling, SAP/SBEM, and overheating assessments
Familiarity with Bluebeam and Microsoft Project
