JOB DESCRIPTION

Personal Assistant



A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF



I am 9 year old boy living in the Barry area, I am very energetic with high energy levels. I have a diagnosis of Autism. I love to do action based outdoors activities like going to the trampoline parks and going on my scooter. I am extremely observant with my surroundings I particularly like any forms of transport like cars, planes etc. I also love animals so would be open to experiencing new places to go, I can’t be forced into a day out it all depends how I feel on the day.



When the weather is not great I like to go swimming, I have a love of water so anything water based I will enjoy. I also would like to go to soft play centres and I would like to have an ice cream after any activities.



I am seeking a PA to take me out and about I need someone to keep me safe at all times as I do tend to run off as I have no sense of danger. I would like someone who is responsible but can have fun and interact with me and keep me entertained.



PURPOSE OF JOB



Going out in the community, keeping me safe at all times. This role is 2:1. You will work alongside another PA.



HOURS OF WORK



3 hours on a weekend.



RATE OF PAY



£14.50 per hour and 40p per mile.

TASKS INVOLVED



Taking me out in the community
Going out to the park/trampoline parks
Going swimming/soft play
Seeking new activities






TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED



Someone who was chatty and outgoing
Someone with a good sense of humour
Must have their own vehicle with business insurance
Someone who enjoys being interactive and getting involved
Someone responsible for my safety at all time
Able to work alongside another PA



ABOUT THE JOB



Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid 4 weekly basis and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
