Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in scientific disciplines, including Biochemistry and Maths, and have a commitment to fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment. This role involves educating students in various scientific concepts, conducting laboratory experiments, and promoting critical thinking skills through hands-on learning experiences.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
Educate students on key scientific principles, theories, and practices across various disciplines.
Conduct laboratory sessions, ensuring safety protocols are followed while facilitating practical experiments.
Employ effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
Provide mentoring and support to students, helping them achieve their academic goals.
Assess student progress through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in science education and teaching methodologies.
Requirements

A relevant degree in Science or Education with a focus on scientific subjects such as Biochemistry or Maths.
Proven experience in teaching or tutoring science at the secondary level is highly desirable.
Strong skills in proofreading and preparing educational materials that are clear and accessible for students.
Familiarity with special education practices is an advantage, enabling support for diverse learning needs within the classroom.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex scientific concepts to students of varying abilities.
A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that encourages curiosity and a love for science among all students.
Ability to conduct scientific research as part of the curriculum development process is beneficial.
