Summary

A Vacancy at Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist with experience in Stroke Rehabilitation to work with the team based at Royal Derby Hospital and Florence Nightingale Community Hospital , as part of the Derbyshire Community Health Services Service Level Agreement.

We are looking for an HCPC and RCSLT registered Speech and Language Therapist with developed skills working with dysphagia and communication.

As a clinical employee it will be your responsibility to ensure that your behaviour and values reflect those set out in the DCHS Way.

You will be proficient in your abilities to deliver high-quality, evidence-based practice, with assessment and therapeutic abilities, including dysphagia and communication management in this specialist area.

You will have a commitment to providing a high standard of patient-focused care and be a strong team player.

We would consider applications from suitably experienced B5 SLTs and would consider a transitional post.

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people’s own homes and via virtual consultations.

During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.
