Summary
A fabulous live out nanny/housekeeper role has become available in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. You will be looking after two happy and active children, a girl aged nine and her brother aged six. Mum and Dad occasionally work from home, but this will be a sole charge role.
This family is looking for a kind, proactive and friendly nanny/housekeeper who would like to have fun with the children, along with providing lots of love and support.
The hours will be Monday-Wednesday, 07.30-18.30 (33 hours each week). There could be ad hoc additional hours in the school holidays, but these will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime.
You will drop the children at school each morning. During the day, before you pick them up from school or their after-school clubs, you will have time to help keep them organised – keeping on top of their laundry, keeping their rooms and playroom tidy, ensuring they have everything they need for the day ahead, helping oversee homework, etc. Although the family has a weekly cleaner, you will keep the house running smoothly between weekly cleans, ensuring rooms are tidy, keeping on top of the kitchen, emptying the dishwasher, running the hoover round, running the occasional errand, etc.
In the school holidays (20 weeks a year) you will have more time to spend with the children. The parents would like you to arrange fun activities at home like board games, crafting and baking, arranging play dates with their friends, as well as going on exciting adventures to the cinema, bowling, etc. The children are both active, enjoying lots of different sports.
You will provide healthy and nutritious family meals, involving the children, if this is something they enjoy.
You should be a pet lover, as the family are soon to pick up their new puppy – a working cocker spaniel.
You will need to be a careful and confident driver, with a clean licence. There is a car available for use on duty.
