2.5 Days a week.

Skills & Experience:

4 GCSE grade “C” or ‘5’ and above including: Maths, English and 2 other related subjects or relevant equivalent qualification or experience.
ICT Qualification such as EDCL, ICT GCSE or equivalent experience.
Knowledge and understanding of a range of business administration systems and procedures.
An understanding of the work of Local Government.
Experience of communicating confidently with staff across all levels, with partners and the public.
Experience of taking minutes at meetings ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Minute Taking Skills
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise, using a problem-solving approach



What's involved with this role: You will be the first point of contact for families and professionals at the Family Hub, using your excellent customer care and communication skills to provide a warm, professional service. Whether working independently or as part of a team, you’ll support the smooth running of the hub by handling enquiries, promoting events on social media, managing bookings, taking minutes at meetings, and completing a range of admin and financial tasks to support senior managers and practitioners.

Key duties:

Provide a wide range of business support and administrative tasks, including reception duties, handling enquiries, and processing requests from a shared inbox.
Act as the first point of contact, responding to routine enquiries from colleagues, partners, and the public in line with the Council’s Customer Care policy.
Represent WFT professionally by welcoming visitors, promoting services, and supporting service users to access information and guidance, especially those who are harder to engage.
Maintain clear and accurate communication across teams and with external partners to ensure effective information sharing.
Promote the Family & Youth Hub offer and wider support services using relevant digital platforms, while signposting families to appropriate online resources and community support.
