Our client is a progressive and successful Mechanical Services and Fabrication company based in Newbury, West Berkshire. They specialise in delivering top-tier services to high-profile FM / Maintenance sector and end-user clients, predominantly located in London and the South East. With a focus on growth, a proactive Junior Contracts/Project Manager with a strong technical foundation in mechanical or HVAC services is needed to join their busy and expanding Mechanical Services department.

Are you the right person for the job?

• You MUST have a solid technical understanding of mechanical or HVAC building services
• Enjoy collaborating across departments to align project goals and deadlines
• Possesses excellent organisational and multitasking skills
• Are proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel
• Are familiar with project documentation, including RAMS and H&S compliance
• Ideally, have experience working within an ISO9001 Quality system
• Hold a UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle (business mileage reimbursed at HMRC rates)
• Are based within commuting distance of Newbury, West Berkshire or the West London corridor

What will your role look like?

• Manage a variety of mechanical projects ranging in value from £5K to £100K
• Oversee projects from initial enquiry through to quotation, mobilisation, delivery, and completion
• Work closely with internal technical teams and third-party manufacturers to coordinate project milestones
• Deliver projects involving pipework, water services, fans, ductwork, AHUs, lagging, insulation, and more
• Ensure work is delivered primarily in live, operational environments rather than new builds
• Maintain accurate documentation, including RAMS, H&S compliance, and quality assurance
• Act as the key point of contact for clients, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align resources and timelines
• Monitor project progress, flag issues early, and proactively drive resolution
