Temporary Lifeline Response Officer

24 hour service over a 3 shift pattern. 07.30 - 15.45, 15.30 - 21.30 and 21.15 - 07.45. You could be asked to cover shifts at short notice.

Enhanced DBS disclosure within the last 12 months
Must have a UK manual driving license



Skills & Experience:

Approx 2 years experience of dealing with vulnerable clients who may display behaviours that challenge and maintain appropriate boundaries.
Experience of working within policies and procedures, use initiative to respond to situations and escalate as required.
Experience of working in a busy and challenging environment with the ability to deal with unexpected events and prioritise accordingly.
IT literate, capable of using Microsoft Office Packages, ability to apply accurate literacy and numeracy skills, demonstrate attention to detail and work within guidelines.



What's involved with this role: In this role, you’ll respond to emergencies for Lifeline clients, working independently or as part of a team to promote safety, wellbeing, and independence. You’ll help create safer environments through the installation of assistive technology.

Key duties:

Respond to emergency calls, carry out dynamic risk assessments, and provide immediate care including First Aid, CPR, and defibrillation.
Support clients with dignity and empathy during crises, ensuring their safety and independence until further help is arranged.
Provide compassionate assistance to clients and families during illness, hospitalisation, or bereavement.
Install and demonstrate assistive technology, perform related admin tasks, and ensure accurate records are maintained.
Liaise with colleagues and external agencies, attend relevant meetings, and signpost clients to appropriate services and support.
