Summary

The following skills and experience will be required and are essential for the successful candidates: The post holder ensures that the necessary Research Governance standards for local research projects are being adhered to so that the Trust can provide confirmation of capacity and capability for research to take place. The post holder is responsible for ensuring that studies are discussed with Service Support Departments / Directorates, and there is a full understanding of their requirements; the post holder assists as required to facilitate Service department support and their formal signature of approval. The post holder works with key Trust and University staff to promote a supportive environment for undertaking research. This includes assisting in the preparation and confirmation of honorary contracts in accordance with the Research Passport and inter-Trust agreements. The post holder liaises with other staff in the Research & Innovation Services Office based at UEA to share information on joint projects with the aim of reducing duplication of requests to Investigators and to improve performance in approvals time and in recruitment to time and target. The post holder supports Site-Specific Assessments by ensuring that all required checks are undertaken and evidenced. The post holder ensures that the cost implications of research activities have been appropriately considered in liaison with other senior Trust and Clinical Research Network: Eastern staff.
